What's in the RioD260 System
➜ 2 AI Cameras 1080p IP69K cameras, 130° field of view each. One mounts at the front of the machine, one at the rear — covering the two primary travel directions where pedestrian exposure is highest. Every alert the operator receives corresponds to a real pedestrian or vehicle in the path of travel.
➜ 7" Split-Screen In-Cab Monitor Color LCD with sunshade and alarm speaker. Front camera on the left, rear camera on the right — both live at all times. The moment a worker or vehicle enters a detection zone, a visual and audible alert fires. No manual activation.
➜ External Flashing Beacon 120dB voice alert, audible alarm, and flashing light — triggers simultaneously with the in-cab alert. Workers on foot are warned the moment they enter the detection zone.
➜ 512GB SD Card About 2 weeks of continuous 1080p recording across both cameras. Date and time stamped, organized by day. Pull the card on site and review on any laptop. No login. No upload. No cloud.
➜ Complete Installation Kit Every bracket, cable, fastener, TEK screw, split loom, relay, and connector in the box. Nothing to source separately. Your team installs it and the machine is protected the same week.
Front and Rear. Both on Screen. At All Times.
The RioD260 monitor shows front camera on the left and rear camera on the right simultaneously. The operator doesn't choose which camera to look at — both are live, both are always visible.
When the AI detects a worker or vehicle in either zone, the alert fires immediately on the monitor with a visual alarm and audible tone. The External Flashing Beacon triggers at the same time. The operator knows which direction the detection came from because the affected camera view is on screen.
Configured Zone per your Company Policy
🟢 Green zone — awareness perimeter — the machine is operating normally, no pedestrians in proximity
🟡 Yellow zone — caution perimeter — someone is approaching, reduce speed and increase awareness
🔴 Red zone — stop zone — a pedestrian or vehicle is in the exclusion zone, stop immediately
Zone boundaries are adjustable per camera independently. The front zone and rear zone can be configured separately to match the machine's actual operating environment.

Where an AI Safety System for Construction Equipment Fails Without Real-World Fit
Both Blind Zones. Covered.
Every counterbalance forklift blocks the operator's view in two directions. The mast during travel. The rear on every reverse. RioD260 puts a camera at each end of the machine.

Every Accident. Every Near-Miss. Every Claim. On Video.
Safety teams spend hours reconstructing what happened after an incident — interviewing witnesses, pulling reports, filing claims — often with no footage and conflicting accounts.
➡️ Insurance claims — footage from the exact moment of impact, from four angles
➡️ Material delivery damage — know whether it arrived that way or happened on site
➡️ Near-miss reviews — turn close calls into safety training instead of near-tragedies
➡️ Operator accountability — clear record of what was visible and when alerts fired
➡️ Incident investigation — stop relying on memory and start reviewing actual footage
One incident. One claim.
RioD260 pays for itself.
The Worker Is Warned Too.
Every detection system focuses on alerting the operator. RioD260 does that. But the External Flashing Beacon does something the monitor cannot — it alerts the worker on foot the moment they enter the detection zone.
The External Flashing Beacon is integrated into the RioD260. Workers who experience it once change their behavior permanently. They don't cut through the operating zone. They don't assume the machine won't detect them. The beacon doesn't need to fire to do its job — the knowledge that it will is enough. When it is quiet, it is working.
🔴 120dB voice alert + audible alarm + flashing red light — all three activate simultaneously on detection
🔌 Plug-and-play — 4-pin aviation connector, cables directly to the monitor harness. No configuration required.
🏗️ High-impact plastic housing — standard kit. Steel housing available in the Heavy Duty Installation Kit.
"No one wants to set off the system. The 120dB alarm is not something a worker forgets. When the beacon is quiet, it is doing exactly what it was designed to do."

🖥️ Easy access — view from the in-cab monitor or pull the SD card and open on any laptop. No special software required.
🗄️ Automatic loop recording — 512GB holds about 2 weeks of machine-on recording. When the card fills, the system loop records.

When RioD260 is Right
✅ Your machine travels in two directions and that's where the exposure is — forklifts and telehandlers move forward to the load and reverse to the rack on every cycle. The mast blocks the front. The rear is blind on every reverse. RioD260 puts a camera at each end and keeps both live on the same screen. Every alert is real.
✅ You need video from both ends of the machine — when an incident happens, you need footage from the direction it came from. RioD260 records front and rear continuously to a 512GB SD card — about 2 weeks of machine-on recording, date and time stamped, accessible from the cab or any laptop without login or upload.
✅ Your site has no WiFi, no cloud, and no IT infrastructure — RioD260 processes and records entirely on-device. No signal required. No subscription. Operational from day one.
✅ You want a system that installs and works without a project — RioD260 ships with everything needed to mount, connect, and operate. Your team installs it and the machine is protected the same week.

FAQ - RioD260 - AI Pedestrian Detection System
Q: How does RioD260 work?
A: Two rugged AI cameras mount at the front and rear of the machine — covering both primary travel directions. The on-device AI detects pedestrians and vehicles in real time and triggers instant visual and audible alerts in the cab, plus an External Flashing Beacon for ground workers. Everything processes and records locally — no cloud, no WiFi, no subscriptions.
Q: Does RioD260 require cloud, WiFi, or subscriptions?
A: No. RioD260 is a fully on-device system. All video recording and AI processing happen locally with no connectivity, no cloud, and no monthly subscriptions required.
Q: Why only 2 cameras?
A: Because a forklift travels in two directions. Forward and reverse. That's where the exposure is. RioD260 puts a camera at each end and keeps both live on the same screen. Every alert the operator gets is real — no false alarms from workers in adjacent aisles who are nowhere near the travel path.
Q: How much video does RioD260 record?
A: The included 512GB industrial SD card stores about 2 weeks of machine-on recording across both cameras simultaneously. When full, the system automatically overwrites the oldest files. Critical footage can be locked with a long press to prevent overwriting.
Q: Which equipment is RioD260 compatible with?
A: RioD260 is compatible with any machine operating on 12–24V DC — forklifts, wheel loaders, dump trucks, telehandlers, skid steers, scrapers, and other industrial vehicles. No separate power source, no custom wiring.
Q: How are alerts delivered?
A: When AI detects a pedestrian or vehicle in the detection zone, the operator receives an immediate visual and audible alarm on the 7-inch in-cab monitor. Simultaneously, the External Flashing Beacon activates with 120dB voice alert, audible alarm, and flashing red light to warn workers on the ground.
Q: How do I access recorded footage?
A: Pull the SD card from the monitor and insert it into any laptop. No login, no dashboard, no uploads. Footage is organized in daily directories by date and time. For on-machine review, use the monitor's built-in playback menu.
Q: What is the warranty?
A: RioD260 carries an 18-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Contact info@riodatos.com or 520-501-0602 directly — not a support ticket queue. Replacement part warranty.
